Lexicon MX400
Lexicon's quad multi-effects processor — four channels of simultaneous processing with genuine Lexicon reverb algorithms, balanced I/O, and USB connectivity for DAW integration.
Overview
The MX400 sits above the MX200 and MX300 in Lexicon’s MX series — the key difference being quad (4-channel) processing rather than stereo only. This allows it to run two independent stereo effects simultaneously, or handle surround applications, making it more flexible in a multi-source studio setup.
The reverb algorithms are the same Lexicon DNA found across the range: halls, plates, rooms, ambiences with that characteristic diffusion and tail quality. Beyond reverb, the MX400 covers delay, chorus, flanger, pitch shifting, tremolo, and various combinations. Balanced XLR I/O makes it properly interfaceable with professional-grade gear.
A USB port connects to a DAW for direct integration, and the unit ships with a bundle of Lexicon plug-ins — a practical bonus, though the hardware processing is the main reason to own one.
